Prof Louise Bright

Prof Louise Bright is Pro Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise, Engagement and Partnerships at the University of South Wales. She leads strategic collaboration with industry and government, driving innovation and regional impact. Prof Bright is a peer reviewer for the UK HR Excellence in Research Award and sits on advisory boards including the Welsh Government’s Equity in STEM Board. She founded the Wales Women in STEM Network to promote gender equity.

Shavanah is General Secretary of TUC Cymru and the first person of colour to hold the role. With bold leadership and a clear voice on issues like pay inequality and inclusion, Shavanah is reshaping the future of work for women and beyond.
